COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP

As part of our BEd curriculum, We the final year BEd students of Kaviyattu College of Education had organized a Community Living Camp from 9th February 2024 to 15th February 2024. The theme of our camp ARAMAM 2024 was CLEAN LIVING AND CLEAN THINKING. The camp was conducted successfully with the help of management, Principal and teachers.
DAY 1:  10/2/2024  

The community living camp of final year BEd students of Kaviyattu College of Education, officially started with the  inaugural function of ARAMAM 2024 . The camp was inaugurated by Respected Principal Dr Deepthi Karunakaran Mam and the camp coordinator Dr Liby Cherian Mam had deliverer the felicitation. 

After a short assembly, we had a  survey on Waste Management survey in Manickal panchayat. 

After the survey, we reached the College by 1 pm , had lunch and attended the class on Juvenile justice act by Adv. Ubaidullah, ( Panel Lawyer, Legal Services Authority, Nedumangad) .  After the ckas, had camp review by 6pm , had a camp fire, expense presentation and had slept by 9 pm.. the day had went well. 

DAY 2 ((11/2/2024) 
The next day we had our breakfast and after a yoga session and a short assembly by the social science department, we had a class on Persons with Disability Act which was conducyed by Dr Kamaludeen sir , Principal, Awar Women's College Thrissur. The class dissected the provisions of the act emphasizing its role in prohibiting discrimination.  After that, we had another interesting class, that was a craft clas  by Usha Sam.  Mam had brought the materials and we made candles and bead bracelets.  Then we had expense presentation and camp review Later the day was concluded by dinner and a documentary presentation which was "CURRY AND CYANIDE" . 
DAY 3 (12/2/2024)  
The next day of our camp had started where after having breakfast, Then after a short assembly, we had a guidance session class handed by Shri Umadevi, Ezhukone Counsellor. The class was about identifying different kinds of learning problems faced by students and how to identify them After that, We had another soap making session class habdjedby TJ Varghese, ( social worker, Organic Farm Yard) . Sir took a small class about the chemistry behind the soap making whuch was interesting. After that the day was ended by the camp review, expense presentation.  Then the day was concluded by showcasing the move "KALYANARAMAN". 

DAY 4 (13/2/2024) 
The next day, we had a morning walk in the hill side of our college. After fresh walk, reached the college, had breakfast and we had our first session, that was an eye camp organized by Al Hiba Hospital which was free z, in which the doctors and staff checked our power of vision. After that, the next session was a theatre practice workshop handled by Mr Ramesh Chandran, Thamp Theater  Media Academy and Performance. The session was about how to integrate theatre knowledge into classroom learning experience. Sir made us do some acta and situations.  This was an enlightening and entertaining session. The class was concluded by evening, had our camp review, expense presentation and dozed off to sleep by 10. After that finally the closing ceremony of the camp was inaugurated by Dr Deepthi Karunakaran, Principal of our college. 
DAY 5(14/2/2024) 
The last day of our camp 'ARAMAM '. We went on a cleaning drive at Vagamon. We had started the journey from 5 am. Our camp coordinator Liby mam and Junaid sir had accompanied us to the journey. After that, we had visited the pine forest where we had cleaned the surroundings by clearing out the debris..Also we had moved to Thangalpara and did the same procedure. After that we had visited Paruthumpara, a superb place to visit. After that, had our food and returned back to college by 10.30. The community living camp was a wonderful experience.
