TEACHING PRACTICE WEEK 1 


DAY 1 (12/6/24) The first day of my teaching practice begins with a warm morning prayer. Me along with my other teacher trainees from Kaviyattu College of Education had reached Govt Model Hss for Girls Pattom. I met my concerned teacher, collected the time table and had an in informal interaction with the students. After that I gave an introduction about the chapter to be studied. Students listened and interacted with me.
DAY 2 ( 14 /6/24)
Another day of my teaching practice had begin with a positive note. I reached the school on time, signed the attendance register after that we had assembly in school where the a tor Kani kusurthi was felicitated for winning award at the Cannes film festival. After the assembly, I had entered my class 8 e with my teaching aids and started teaching lesson The Mysterious picture written by Charles de Coster. The lesson was started by an interesting entry activity and provided the explanation of paragraph and the explanation of difficult words with meanings was provided. The class was concluded by providing them homework and summary of the lesson taught.

DAY 3 ( 18/6/24)
Another day of my teaching practice had started with the blessings of the Almighty. I had reached the school on time, entered the class with my teaching aids and lesson template. I had greeted 8 E students, afte having an informal interaction with the students, contributed teaching the chapter. I had taught the next paragraph of lesson, where explanation of the lesson provided and after that provided them group activities using activity cards. The class was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught and homework was assigned in the end.
DAY 4 (19/6/24)
Another day of my teaching practice had started. Govt Model H.S.S for Girls Pattom had celebrated reading day . The reading day was inaugurated by Satheeja VR , a famous writer. She had given a speech about the importance of reading books. After the assembly, I had class in 8 E , where I had continued teaching the lesson The Mysterious picture written by Charles de Coster. The class was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught and explanation of the lesson was done along with paraphrasing the difficulty words and meanings.
DAY 5 (20/6/24)
Another day of my teaching practice begins with a positive note. I reached the class before first bell, signed the attendance register, and reached the class well equipped with the appropriate teaching aids and lesson template. I continued teaching the consecutive paragraphs of the lesson The Mysterious Picture. The class room management was proper and students had responded well to my class. The class was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught and homework was assigned. Appropriate learning activities were provided to enhance the attentiveness of the students.
DAY 6 (21/6/24)
The following day of my teaching practice had started with the celebration of International Yoga DAY. The day was inaugurated by Mr Aneesh VR, Assistant Professor in Yoga and therapist. It was a short program, which was concluded by students doing yoga sessions. After that I had class in 8 E and continued teaching the chapter with teaching aids and lesson template. The day was fine where I had substitution duty in LP section.
DAY 7 (22/6/24)
Following day of my teaching practice had begin with a positive thought. The day was started by a morning prayer and reached the class before the first bell. After having an informal interaction with the students, continued explaining the chapter The Mysterious picture written by Charles de Coster. I had used appropriate teaching aids and lesson template . I had provided them activity cards by dividing the class into groups and assigned them group works. Students had cooperated well. The day was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught and homework was assigned in the end of the class.

DAY 8(24/6/24)
The next day of my teaching practice had begin with a positive note. The day was started with the usual morning prayer and pledge. After revising the days lesson to be taught, I entered the class with my teaching aids and lesson template. After having an informal interaction with the students , I continued teaching the chapter with my teaching aids and explained the difficult words and meanings, along with that, I had completed teaching the chapter. I had assigned them homeworks , provided notes and appropriate activities to enhance their creative skills and experience. The class was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught.
DAY 9(26/6/24)
The next day of my teaching practice had begin. After the morning prayer and pledge, I reached the class on time with my teaching aids and lesson template . I had started a new poem named We are the World written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie JR. I had provided them a suitable entry activity in order to create a mental readiness among the students and provided an introduction to the author using ICT. I had provided them an explanation of the first stanza of the poem , along with the explanation of the difficult words and meanings. Then appropriate learning activities and scaffolding questions was asked to check their level of understanding. The class was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught.
DAY 10(27/6/24)
The following day of my teaching practice had begin with a positive note. After signing up the attendance register, entered the class and greeted the students. I had provided them an interesting entry activity in order to create a mental readiness among the students . Then I continued teaching the next stanza of the poem. Explanation of the lesson and difficult words with meanings was provided to the students. Scaffolding questions was asked to check their level of understanding. Later the class was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught. The poem was completed by providing notes, learning activities and homeworks.
DAY 11(28/6/24)
The next day of my teaching training had started with the blessings of the Almighty. I had class in the afternoon session . Before that I had substitution in the respective class and was able to handle the class well. Then after the lunch break, I entered the class and started teaching a new lesson named The Boy Who Drew Cats written by Hasegawa Takejiro. The class was started by providing an interesting entry activity and continued teaching the chapter with an introduction to the author shown through ICT. Then I continued explaining the chapter and provided them explanation of difficult words and meanings. Group activity was provided by providing them with activity cards to enhance their creative skills. The class was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught.

DAY 12(2/7/24)
The following day of teaching practice had started with the blessings of the Almighty. I had entered the class with my teaching aids and lesson template and continued teaching the chapter. I was able to handle the class well where my students had responded actively with a positive enthusiasm and class room atmosphere was pleasant. I continued teaching the lesson and provided them scaffolding questions to check their level of understanding. The class was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught and homework was assigned to the end.
DAY 13(3/7/24)
Another day of my teaching practice had begin with a positive note. I had entered the class with my teaching aids and lesson template. I continued teaching the chapter by providing an interesting entry activity and provided them scaffolding questions to check their level of understanding. After that, I assigned them group works for enhancing their creative skills. The class was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught and homework was assigned to the end.

The next day of my teaching practice had begin with the God's grace. In this day, Govt Model Hss for Girls Pattom had celebrated Basheer day where the students had presented the characters from the famous works of Basheer.
After the assembly, I had class in the next hour. The class was started by continuing to teach the chapter with teaching aids and lesson template. The lesson template was followed strictly and scaffolding questions was asked to check their level of understanding..the class was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught and homework was assigned in the end

Another day of my teaching practice had begin with a positive note. After signing up the attendance register, we had a special assembly where we had the chief guest Mr Dresher Gopi sir, minister of petroleum and tourism had inaugurated the program on Swachada praakyada initiative under Swatch Bharat mission .
DAY 17(9/7/24)
Another day of my teaching practice had begin with a positive note. I had reached the school by first bell,signed the attendance register and entered my class 8 E well equipped with the appropriate teaching aids and lesson template. I had taught the consecutive paragraphs of the lesson The Boy Who Drew Cats. The class was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught and homework was assigned in the end.

After that I explained to them the remaining paragraphs of the lesson The Boy Who Drew Cats and appropriate activities was provided to enhance their creative skills. The class was started by the blessings of the Almighty and I entered the class well equipped with the appropriate teaching aids and lesson template. I had started to teach a new poem named Taj Mahal written by Rabindranath Tagore. I provided them with an introduction to the author using ICT. Then I started the class by explaining the stanza of the poem and assigned them group activity to enhance their creative skills. The class was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught and homework was assigned in the end.

Next day of my teaching practice had begin with the blessings of Almighty. The next day of my teaching practice had begin with the God's grace. Reached the class on time with my teaching aids and lesson template. I had taught the last stanza of the poem Taj Mahal with proper stress, rhythm and intonation. Scaffolding questions was asked to check their level of understanding. The class was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught and homework was assigned in the end. Thus, the chapter was completed in the end.
DAY 24(16/7/24(
The following day of my teaching practice had begin with a positive note. I reached the school, signed the attendance register and with an interesting entry activity, I had started teaching a new lesson The Shipwrecked Sailor written by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Had provided them an interesting entry activity in order to create a mental readiness among the students. The paragraph was explained in detail with difficult words and meanings. The class was continued by providing interesting group activity to enhance their creative skills and. The class was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught and homework was assigned in the end.
DAY 25(17/7/24)
The next day of my teaching practice had begin with a positive note. The class was started off by explanation of the consecutive paragraphs and I had grabbed the confidence in teaching lesson effectively. I had asked them questions to check their level of understanding . The class was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught and homework was assigned in the end.

The next day of my teaching practice had begin with a positive note. After the morning prayer, reached the class with my teaching aids and lesson template. Started teaching the chapter with proper explanation and explained the difficult words and meanings. The class was concluded by providing the gist of the lesson taught and homework was assigned in the end.

The next day of my teaching practice, i had conducted an achievement test based on the first unit Hues and Views. Students had cooperated well for the achievement test.
DAY 31 (26/7/24)
Govt Model HSS for Girls had conducted a Sports day with the vibrance of joy where The Green House had bagged prize in every events. The chief guest of the sports Meet was Lekha K C , who was a World Women's Boxing Champion inaugurated the function. The head Master Satheesh sir flagged of the function. The sports Meet was concluded by national anthem
